4. How We Share Your Data
We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data with:

Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or an applicable adequacy decision. Where required by the DPDPA, cross-border transfers are made in accordance with Indian law, including any government-notified restrictions on transfers to specific countries.
6. Our Role When Managing Client Marketing Data
When AKOI manages a client's advertising accounts, marketplace listings, CRM, or customer data as part of a service engagement, we typically act as a Data Processor/Data Processor-equivalent, processing personal data only on the client's documented instructions and under a signed service agreement or data processing addendum. Individuals whose data is processed in this context should refer to the relevant client's own privacy policy; requests regarding such data should be directed to that client, and we will support them in fulfilling such requests as required by law.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including:
- Client/business records: for the duration of the engagement and thereafter as required by applicable tax, corporate, and contractual record-keeping laws (generally up to 7–8 years in India).
- Job applications: for the duration of the recruitment process and a reasonable period afterward (generally up to 12 months), unless you ask us to delete it sooner or you consent to us retaining it for future opportunities.
- Website enquiry/contact data: until the enquiry is resolved and for a reasonable follow-up period, unless deletion is requested earlier.
- Cookie/analytics data: as set out in Section 8 and the retention settings of the relevant tool (e.g., Google Analytics).
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Enable core website functionality;
- Understand site usage through analytics (e.g., Google Analytics);
- Support advertising and retargeting (e.g., Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag).
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law (e.g., for EU/UK visitors), we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies via a cookie banner/consent tool. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
